Queensland Rail

Train Condition Monitoring

Queensland Rail, in Australia, uses SmartVision™ for real-time remote diagnostics including viewing of remote driver’s display and inspecting analogue signals collected in the trains. The system has improved response times and is providing valuable information for optimizing the maintenance process.

EKE-Electronics designed and installed the on-train monitoring system in addition to the user interface for the end user.

SmartVision™ has been operational in Queensland Rail since August 2020. EKE-Electronics provides SaaS support.

Train Condition Monitoring

London Underground uses SmartVision™ for remote monitoring and maintenance on the Central Line as part of a major data transmission system upgrade project awarded to EKE in 2017.

The system has been designed, created and installed by EKE-Electronics and is in the testing phase. Note that COVID-19 restrictions have significantly delayed the testing phase. However, the system is due to go into operation in 2022.

Train Condition Monitoring

EKE-Electronics has designed and implemented a condition monitoring and remote diagnostics system for an operator in Brazil. The system monitors the temperature and vibration of wheel bearings as well as diagnostic events from the trains.

The system has been designed and created by EKE-Electronics and is in the testing phase. Note that COVID-19 restrictions have significantly delayed the testing and installation phase. However, the system is due to go into operation in 2021 with SaaS support.

Bogie Condition Monitoring

VR FleetCare and EKE-Electronics are actively engaged in joint development for advanced bogie condition monitoring to enable data-driven maintenance.

The monitoring system and sensor gateway is an off the shelf solution installed by EKE-Electronics. The user interface is designed and created by EKE-Electronics. The system contains advanced analytics developed from over 80 years of accumulated knowledge of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance within the SmartVision™ team and in collaboration with VR Fleetcare.

Data has been collected from trains running in live traffic since the summer of 2019.

Track Condition Monitoring

EKE-Electronics have developed an industry leading track condition monitoring solution that detects track and track asset defects from in-service rolling stock.

Field validation tests have been performed with our collaboration partner, VR FleetCare since November 2020.
